چکیده

The main aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence intramammary infection (IMI) in early-lactation primiparous cows using milk recording cow composite somatic cell count (CSCC) categories (combining first 2 results after calving). Another evaluate urea (MU) content as a potential supplementary indicator SCC or CSCC for identification IMI calving. This retrospective observational conducted on records test-day over period 6 years (January 2016 December 2021. data 158 Holstein Friesian cows, with their 5 35 days calving and second 28 56 (DIM), were identified. Each assigned category (low-low, low-high, high-low high-high) based at milking recordings following cut-offs: ≤150,000 cells/ml (low), >150,000 (high). association between MV analyzed correlation models. At recording, proportion 63.29% low category, rest (36.71%) high category. 59.49%, 3.80%, 27.85% 8.86% low-low, high-high, respectively. 12.66% 87.34% indicating poor good udder health, MU positive moderate (+0.49) negative strong (-0.97), contents inconclusive. We concluded that may be useful tool identifying success problems regarding health early lactation.

Analyses of udder health in Valle del Belice dairy sheep using Somatic Cell Count (SCC)

Intramammary infections (IMI) are a complex of inflammatory diseases of the mammary gland. Mastitis is one of the most frequent IMI affecting small dairy ruminants. Direct selection against clinical mastitis is difficult because mastitis is not widely recorded; therefore, somatic cell count (SCC) is promoted as selection criterion for mastitis resistance. A dataset containing 2,475 first-lactat...
